Hey all, this is going to be another wordy post (sorry jas)! I dont really have pics to show how freaking happy I am to have completed my 1st yr! Phew, this is 1 hectic semester! I'm really glad it's over! Now is the long wait for the results, but who cares it's party time!

Went to help my friend clean an aviary after my last paper. It was a good experience, dont think i will be able to experience it in Sg. Was in the aviary for abt 2-3 hours, then we left that place. Oh, more abt the aviary. It's owned by this millionaire, he lives on a 30 acre land with lots of horses and birds (in aviary)! it's really amazing and beautiful! anyway after cleaning, it was time to partyyyy. Went to 2 bars/club and just basically had a really good time! all the stress is gone after the exam!

I'll be away somewhere in the north for a camping trip for a couple of days! And after i come back, it's packing my luggage to go home! cant wait to see u guys! till then take care! im too lazy to write anymore!

Hey all, quick update. It's 12 more days to my exams and 26 days till I leave Aus for Sg! My return flight is booked on the 14th Nov, will be reaching Sg at night, just nice for dinner, 1st supper, 2nd supper and so on. Can't wait for my char kuey tiao, prawn mee, chicken rice, (braised)duck rice, stingray, frog leg porridge, chilli crabs with fried man tou and the list goes on! Hahaha this is a hint to u guys back in Sg, you know what to do when im back!

So till then, I will be temporarily MIA-ing cause there isnt much time till the finals. Argh!!! Even now i shld be slping as i will be having an exam later in the morn!!!

Sebas' Back, Back again

Hey all! Guess who's back!

I guess it's time i updated this rotting blog again. Haha. A couple of reasons why i didnt bother to update:

1) too many photos and blogger is not helping by being a pain in the arse when it comes to uploading photos (someone pls give me advice on this)

2) i hate writing!

3) Laziness (this shld be the main reason =x)

So anyway here I am, back to update on my life in Down Under. For photos, pls check out my facebook, if your dont have 1, go get 1!! =)
Ok now the problem is I have no idea where to start updating. =s

Let me see, first up i would like to say that I'm enjoying every minute of my time here in Brisbane. Made some really good friends.

Spring's here! Man i love the warm weather in the day, but it still gets a little cold at night. Work's boring but at least I have some income, that's all that matters. Hopefully I can find a course related job soon and work full time in the weekends. Working during the wkdays can get tiring.

I'm glad to say that I'm doing well for this sem so far, although I've had only 2 mid-sem exams. After this mid-sem break, oops i think i didnt mention that I'm on mid-sem break now (haha), I have only a month or less till the final sem exams! Then I'm going home to the sunny island named Singapore. This semester is going by so quickly, didnt really have time to take a break. Vet Sch social events are the only breaks i have from studying before the mid-sem holidays.

Last fri was our Vet Sch smoko, Mardi gras themed. damn, it was gay. And i was in a pink t-shirt, bleh. I swear that will be the only time i will be wearing something pink. It was all in the name of fun. After smoko ended, went to stay over in my friends' place cause we're off to Byron Bay the next morning (Sat morning)!

Left Brisbane at around 1pm or 2pm. It was an hour and 45mins drive to Byron Bay which is in New South Wales. It was a wonderful 4days 3 nights in Byron Bay. The sun, sand and sea was just amazing. Weather was good till the last day when we're about to leave. For the beautiful pictures taken in Byron Bay, go look in my Facebook albums. Reached home on Tues evening. I feel really guilty to say that I almost forgot abt my mother's birthday which is on the 30th Sept, the day I got back from Byron. So here's another 'Happy Birthday" to you Mum, will make it up to you when i get back home. =x

Time really flies when u're having fun, I'm already half way through my mid-sem break! argh!!! And i havent done any studying which i really shld. Here I am procastinating and writing an entry for my blog when i shld really do some catching up on work. Shld always remind myself that Im really in Aus to study and not have fun. (although a lil fun wont hurt =s)

Oh i shld really also talk abt the things i did earlier in the sem. I had my animal handling pracs and dissection pracs this sem. Let me talk abt the dissection part 1st. The majority of the period before mid-sem break is dissecting our dog. Taking a look at their muscles, the blood vessels that supply them and the nerves that innervate them, stressing more on those with clinical importance. Im bad at describing emotions but I wasnt that affected when doing that dissection. We also have to dissect a horse in our last wk of locomotion prac. Some people, esp the horsey ppl, are not too comfortable with it. And after all this pracs, we did a loco prac exam on it before the mid-sem break and I'm happy with my result.

Then there's also the animal handling pracs where we have to go to UQ Gatton campus for most of the prac. The drive there is tiring and boring, nothing really interesting except for the signboards that advertise groceries at really cheap prices! Like strawberries @ 49cents per punnet! Yummm! My grp has completed most of the pracs like poultry, pig, horse, abattoir(yes a visit to the abattoir) and sheep. All we have left is cattle prac which is said to be the most fun, this will happen after we come back from mid-sem break. I shld say more abt the abattoir visit. I was really impressed by the efficiency of the people working there(and their craziness) and also the no. of ppl working there. There's a person in every 1m square, and that place is huge. I also think that stunning a cattle before it is slit across the throat is the most humane way to kill a cattle. Some people cldnt bear to look at how the cattle is stunned and killed. But after that we had a party to celebrate the sept babies' birthday, with a bbq -.- haha

I guess that's all for me to update. Sorry for the lousy organisation of this post, as i said i hate writing. =p

End of the 1st wk

So the 1st wk of 2nd sem has come to an end, it was a crazy wk for me. Waking up 7am every morning and enduring the freezing cold morning just to brush my teeth, yeah that's really a pain in the a** for me. I wan the warm weather back!

And as i've said in the previous post, this semester a prelude to what's going to happen in the later semesters. It's gonna be tough but i have to make it somehow. Hope i will be able to juggle work and studies at the same time, I'm still working as a cleaner in some office on weds and sats. Need lotsa energy boosters to get me through this semester.

This sem has lots of seminar! I hate public speaking, hopefully wont be a let down to my group. Ok this is just a really random post lol. On a sidenote, i will be back in sg on 20th nov. Look forward to that, cause...erm just look forward to me returning to sg =).

Start of another semester

I have been really lazy this whole holidays to update my blog. Haha, was busy with my computer games and basically just slacking.

Mon was the start of my 2nd semester, and man it was a freaking long day. Lessons started from 8am all the way to 5pm. And this is what my timetable will be like throughout my 2nd semester, with certain days ending at 6pm because of practicals. And Fri will be the day to head down to Gatton for animal handling practicals (i'm looking forward to that).

We kind of started lessons proper on the 1st day of school already (Mark i hope u're reading this), and will be having practical lessons for 4 out of 5 days. It's gonna be a very busy semester for me. We'll be doing more dissection this semester and more vet stuff but still can't escape from biochemistry =.=

The 1st practical today was quite easy with lots of revision of last semester's work.

Oh yeah and for those who care, i did better than expected for my exams. This semester's not gonna be easy though, have to put in more effort. Hopefully i'm able to juggle my part time work and my studies. Yeah im working as a cleaner in this big office, getting paid 13/hr which i feel kinda underpayed. Oh well, as long as i'm getting some income that's fine, but im still looking for a job in a vet clinic or anything that is connected to what im studying.

Ok im going to take a nap now, haha, it's only 2 days and im really tired already, gotta get back into the study mode soon. Bye!

Ok this is a super-duper-extremely outdated post! haha! Anyway to keep this post short, i'm not gonna dwell too much into the past.

Last wed was the last paper! woohoo! had 4 consecutive papers in the previous wk, and 2 the following wk. It's absoltely crazy. It's been so long since i m exposed to examinations conditions. Don't think i've done that badly, hopefully i dont have to retake any paper.

After my last paper, went drinking with a group of my classmates in town, had an awesome time with them. Can't wait to start school again cause we're going on to animal prac next sem! but we have to travel to gatton(1hr drive if there's no jam) zzz

My 21st birthday wasn't anything special, just some friends coming over to punk me. but they failed miserably =x.

Rigt now, i have too much time and too little things to do. Looking for a job, hopefully can get a job as a trainer for RSPCA QLD.

For now, im just a bum, waiting for the individual companies to reply. That's all then!

As the title suggests, this is a 'thank you' post for the most important people in my life.

But 1st, let me introduce my brother(yes bro, i know i owe you 1 post) so here it is. He is as attention seeking as me, and people not only comment that we look alike but we also sound alike

This came as an impulse, just felt like writing this post. Anyway, I really want to thank the people who gave me this opportunity to be able to study abroad. They are my parents and my brother. Although you guys(my parents) wont be reading this post, i guess bro will convey this message to you guys. It's quite hard for me to say 'I miss you guys' and 'love you guys' in person or on the phone, haha i have no idea why. So i guess I should write it down. I really appreciate that you guys understand and encourage me to go for what i want in life. You have never ever stopped me from doing something I like(cause im as stubborn as a mule), even when i had second thoughts about going abroad for further study, you guys were there to support me. I know that it is financially tough on you guys and also an 'emotional stress' for you, especially Mom. No matter how many times i say 'dont worry', you all will still worry. But dont worry, haha. I will not disappoint you guys, I will definitely come back with a degree and do my best for you guys to enjoy your retirement(even if im not earning a lot, haha). You guys have been the best, and im glad i didnt go astray or become a good-for-nothing. No matter how many times i argue with you guys, or seem rude towards you guys, please do not take it to heart, I guess im just easily agitated. Omg im digressing, haha. Anyway, do take care of yourselves back in Singapore and time passes very fast, i will be back in Singapore in no time. Bro, sorry it will be tough on you for the next few years, i will definitely pay you back, not only in terms of money.

Karaoke Night

Due to overwhelming requests to know more of my social life, this entry will definitely satisfy you guys out there reading this, what a demanding bunch u are!

Before i get to the main point, just wanted to say MID SEM EXAMS are OVER!!! This came quite late as i was too busy enjoying myself and also too lazy to blog =). Mon was the last exam, after that i did not have the mood to study at all lol. Went to International House(IH) to play DOTA, woke up at unearthly hours to watch UEFA Champions League at 4.30am in the morning for 2 days, playing soccer, gym, acting like a retard(whenever an exam ends, i will get a natural high from it, hmmm wonder why?). Oh ya and went karaoke yesterday, will get to that soon. So basically these are the things i've been doing for the past wk, the wk before this was spent studying so not point writing about that, move on from the past. (there u go Bryan, i don't always bring my camera around, so dun expect too much! lol)

Ok! So we went karaoke in sunnybank(?) yesterday. It's called NewWay KTV(?). My FIRST time out of St Lucia in 2 mths, haha yeah i kinda lack an active social life here =(. Anyway, when we reach that place it looks quite sleazy from the outside, haha like how KTVs look like in Singapore(apart from KBox and PartyWorld). Forgot to take a picture of the building so yeah u guys don't get to see how it looks like, too bad. The wonderful people present are(in alphabetical order) Gabriel, Me, Michelle, Sam and Wenyu. They are the ones who have to endure my terrible singing whahaha. The last time that I've stepped into a ktv was 1yr ago, so you guys can guess i dont really have passion for singing. And worse my arsenal of chinese song is that limited, i dont really listen to chinese songs lol. Still, i really enjoyed my time with them.

The set meal in the KTV costs aud18.80 per person and it consists of 3hrs of karaoke time, dinner(5choices) and a drink. The worse thing is that they count plain water as a drink -.-! and they dun refill it, what fishmongers they are. Nearing the end of the session, we had to sing the 1st part then skip to the next song to try to save time haha. After the karaoke session, we found out that there was no bus back to UQ lakes bus depot, we had to take a bus into the city(which is in another zone, which means have to buy another ticket). We went to Coles(it's like Giant supermarket), the cocoa-addict wanted to get some chocolates. We took a bus to the city at 9.00pm, and i was back home at arnd 10pm. Then i went IH again to watch 'How i met your mother", guys its a damn nice show, it's a must watch. So that concludes my yesterday.

Invertebrate Prac

Busy busy busy....exams exams exams...so didnt update my blog...haha. As usual nothing interesting is happening in my life (not that it's boring), so i've nothing much to blog abt.

Had my invertebrate prac today. Dissected a crayfish, was quite excited at 1st. Guess it was due to me watching the Man Utd - Arsenal match (woohoo Man Utd's gonna get double), slpt at 3am and woke up at 7am for the prac, therefore the prac seemed to get more n more boring. The crayfish is just like the freshwater prawns we catch in Marina South -.-!! Anyway as we were dissecting it (it was supposed to be euthanised), it kicked and struggled and i got cut by it -.-!! Hopefully i dun get a parasite infection or something haha. I'm now more afraid of eating raw food as when we looked at the gills of the crayfish and saw parasite eggs in them, freaky. Ok here are pics taken during the prac.

My 1st Dissection

Did my first dog dissection on Mon (310308). It was an exciting, educational, mind blowing experience. Couldn't believe im able to do it, and i got the 1st cut. Still, i couldnt bear to see the dog's face. Had my own experience of my dog being euthanized. It was heart-breaking. But this dog has done it's part by contributing itself to the vet students so that we can learn and understand. My respect goes out to the dissected dog. Lethargy...

I have no idea why am i feeling so lethargic these few days. Have to force myself out of my bed even though im already awake. As a result, i have no mood to do anything for the whole day, my mind will wander in lectures and i will be stoning half way through lectures. Hate this feeling.

Argh!! Another thing i hate is that i have to study biochemistry again! Have already done it in JC, why can't they let me carry over credits. It's such a waste of money and a waste of time to be doing something you've already done before. On the other hand, my brain is really 'rusty'. Think NS really screwed me up, lol. Most of the chemistry stuff that i've studied for 2 yrs in JC has faded away. Guess i have the short term memory syndrome lol. Hopefully i wont forget all the things im studying now.

Anyway had my 1st lecture that had something to do with being a veterinarian today. Why do i say this? It's because the past few weeks i've been studying about causal diagrams, a couple of lecture on 'What is life?" (like wth), and some other boring lectures. Today's lecture is on bone and skeletal system in dogs. Terms used in veterinary practice are very different from human medicine prac. 1st lecture only and there are so many terms to memorise already, i think i will have to get myself a dog's skeleton to know the parts better.

Ok that's it for this entry. Gonna try to turn in early, having difficulties slping at night these few days. Something's terribly wrong with me. Good night all, take care.

Just here to write a short little entry... Have been seeing this little guy arnd the hse at night...hopping from 2nd story to the frangipani tree outside my rm to the ground. It then walks in a psychomotor function(NS guys will get it) on the ground in search of food. It is furry with a very long tail and has a black tip at the end of it's tail. Sometimes it seems like it's begging food from us lol, usually we will feed it bread. It isn't afraid of humans at all, when i open my gate, it will just turn arnd and look at me lol. Since it is like staying with us(though it only shows up at night), i think i will classify it as our hse pet =) Below are it's pictures.....

Well done! Really getting very lazy to blog. Haha. Sorry people.

So here I am, in front of my com, typing out an entry just to appease you people.

1st week of school

Attended lectures that were damn boring. It was all about introduction to the different courses that i took. Tuesday was the worst, had 7 hrs of lecture with only an hr of break for lunch. I think it was on Tuesday that i didn't get to eat lunch, was starving during lecture, hate that feeling. Our 1st assignment also was given on this wk, due on 16th April. Yeah so had lectures all the way till Friday, and come next wk, the lecturers aren't gonna print out notes for us anymore, we had to print it out ourselves. Anyway, week ended with a Vet sch party called Smoko, Tropicana themed, on Friday, the last day of March. I guess this was the most interesting thing that happened in this wk.

Before the party, we had a BBQ(again) with our 5th yr seniors, sadly i still didn't get to meet my 5th yr mentor and not all of the 1st yr turned up. But yup i still got free dinner, love free stuff =). So mingled around with the the few 1st yrs that turned up. Then we got the green light to go into the dance floor. Our vet sch courtyard was converted into a dance floor and there was a bar in the corner. Beer for 2bucks, spirits for 3bucks, fruit punch for 2 bucks. Think we were there too early, the place was still rather empty with pockets of ppl arnd. Stood for freaking 1 hour plus before the crowd started to pour in. Went around to mingle with more 1st yrs, we had to shout at each other because the music was getting louder n louder. So got to know more people which is damn cool, think only in this sort of events then we will get to know one another better.
The party continued until 12am. But i left with a couple of friends from college back to their own college. Mark(i guess you're reading this), had 3 cans of beer n his face was damn red lol, when we got back to his college(International House), he started to look around for his friends. He was damn high n talking lots of nonsense Haha! Yeah so got to know some of his friends in college and chatted until 12am. Went home after that and so the 1st academic week ended.

In terms of co-curriculum activities, i have been gg to the gym every night. Lol. Don't call me crazy as it beats going to parties and getting myself drunk. Guess I'm really into the 'fit' lifestyle. Sometimes at night, I played soccer with people from International House(IH). Feels so gd to be able to play soccer, on carpet grass! We played in the Great Court(as seen in the pics), which is illegal but security wasn't tight so we didn't care.

On saturday, I went for a BBQ(again and again) in South Bank. It was organised by the UQ Singapore Student Society(UQSSS). It was utterly disappointing. Firstly, we had a tough time looking for them, secondly we had to share a place with some Japanese, thirdly only 20 odd people turned up. Sad that i didnt get to see any attractive singaporeans there. So i think i left after an hour or so.

On sunday, didnt do anything much, was reading through some notes and basically just relaxing.

2nd week of school

It is only the 2nd day so wont have much updates.

On monday, was basically a slack day, went to school for maybe 1/2 an hour only. Got to collect our slideboxes. As the name implies, it was a box of slides of different animal cells. It cost a freaking 50 bucks, at least we will get it back sometime next yr i guess. Didnt have lecture until 12pm. It was a lecture on how to use the library facilities -.-!! It lasted for an hour and i headed to IH for group study. Had been spending a lot of time at IH these past few days haha. Went back home at night to cook my dinner. At night, went to the gym again Haha.

Today was a very sad day, cause i had to spend money on textbooks. Sigh, spend a 170 bucks on 2 txtbks, like wth la. Txtbks here are so expensive! My brother said he couldnt find the txtbks in Sg so had no choice but to purchase it in Aus. Sorry bro made you run around to help me look for my txtbks.

P.S Cooking is really troublesome. Have to think of what to cook and go for grocery shopping. You people out there who are taken care of by your parents or maid better appreciate it. Get headaches thinking of what to cook. But well i enjoy cooking my own meals w/o VEG!!!!! =)

End of O-Week

Time really passed by really fast. It's the 23rd already and O-week has ended, time to update some of the happenings.

2nd day of O-wk was pretty boring, was only looking forward to the free bbq lunch. Haha. We had a mass faculty(NRAVS) talk, telling us what to expect, the library, the student services blah blah blah, was really boring. Then after a 1hr break, we had the program advising for NRAVS students and most of the students r vet students lol. After that came the event I was most excited about, FREE LUNCH!!! But its hotdogs again and beef schitnzel, well who m i to complain when im getting free lunch wahhahah. Yeah so my sgp grp got ourselves food and sat down on the grass patch like banglas do. Back in sg only banglas would sit on any grass patch to have their meals, well i guess i have to fit in with the australian culture but i wouldnt do this in sg lol. Anyway, chatted with some other grps and as the weather was getting worse we decided to head back to our accomodation. So this is the end of the 2nd day of O-wk, pretty boring ya.

3rd day of O-wk, we had our talk by the new head of vet sch. He sounded like a very helpful n gd guy, hopefully everyone in my batch will graduate because of him lol. After this talk, our UQ Vet Students Assoc.(UQVSA) showed us an interesting slideshow, it was really funny. It showed the past events they had. They also invited some of the seniors to give a speech. Yeah n so most of us joined the UQVSA, i paid aud$55 for a yr to join that. We then proceeded to Market Day in the Great Court. Market Day is the day where clubs, societies, other organisations set up booths to tout us to buy things or join them. It was kinda boring, nothing interesting, in the end i only joined the International Singapore Club or something like that, I paid aud$5 for the whole yr which is not too bad, if they have events n stuff if not i would be asking for my 5bucks back lol.
After market day, we headed to a field where they were having another bbq! lol yes it was hotdogs again, so in these 3 days ive eaten hotdogs for lunch consecutively haha. After lunch they played some games, my friend wanted to go take a look arnd market day again as we didnt finish walking the whole thing. Yeah so i accompanied him, After an hr or so we headed back to our accomodation lol. Basically this market day wasnt as interesting as it was hyped up to be, disappointing.

3rd day of O-wk, we went to Gatton campus, 80km up north from my campus in St Lucia. It's gonna be a 1 and 1/2 hrs drive IF there was not traffic jam. -.-!!! Anyway in the morning we met at the grass patch in front of our Sch of Vet Sci to reg., got a free t-shirt and a name tag. After everybody changed n settled down, we boarded our bus to Gatton. The 1st half of the journey we could still see houses, shopping centres and buildings, the 2nd half, poof, it turns into a flat land, with farms, handful of houses and hills/mountains in the horizon at the sides of the road. We are in rural Australia. After 1 and 1/2 hr(lucky no jam), we reached Gatton Campus. It looks new and has more greenery than St Lucia. Played some ice-breaker games, had talks, played some team-building games, had talks again and played more games.It was fun and i really enjoyed myself that day, and i got quite tired at the end of it. But yeah the talks and games are helpful, informative, meaningful and FUN, really hope that our yr can be united and helpful to one another. We left Gatton at 1715 and reached St Lucia at 1845, again we were lucky there was no traffic jam. Went to the supermarket to get some food n came back to cook. My friends at International Hse had no more food left lol so they had to eat out. After their dinner they came to look for me, so we chatted for a while be4 they headed back to their college. End of 3rd day of O-wk.

The next few days had nothing on, so i basically just slacked at home lol. Okay time for some photos in the next entry. Take care to all who's reading this.

1st day @ Orientation (O-wk)

All right, i have no photos taken cause I'm lazy LOL. Anyway, woke up at 8, had breakfast, changed and went out at 0845. Shld have taken a photo of how i looked on the 1st day ya. Yeah so i made my way towards the UQ centre with my english hse mate, Chris. We were told that there r over 2000 international students from all over the world. There are, as expected, 200+ china students, 200+ US students, 200+ canadian students and 198 sgp students and students from other countries. China and america are like taking over the world la...placing their ppl all over the world, especially china chinese. Anyway the presentation got kinda boring, wasnt informative at all, looked arnd for fellow sgporeans and attractive ppl, but didnt spot any arnd me haha. Halfway thru, Chris gotta leave for another presentation so im left alone. The presentation ended at 1030.
Had morning tea, walked arnd aimlessly hoping ppl will come up to me but none did lol. Nearing the end of the tea break, this guy, Mark, came up to me saying he found me very familiar and asked if i was in the same sch as him. Turned out I was in the same BMTC Pegasus Company as him, and he was also taking veterinary science. What a coincidence! Guess i was lucky. Then he told me he know of another guy, Wenyu, who is taking vet sci lol. Yeah so currently i know of 2 guys taking the same course as me. Not as lonely anymore haha. We went to the next presentation together and it was another boring lecture, already know most of the stuff they were talking about so yeah my eyes were wandering arnd the lecture hall again lol. Finally the presentation ended and i accompanied Mark and his friend to get their ID cards. It was such a long queue when we got there. I'm lucky i came early n settled most of my stuff beforehand. I'm so smart! =x
Waited for abt 10 mins for them to get their cards then went to find Wenyu at this Christian Church Movement(CCM) booth. Yeah im gonna be a christian.....NOT! Mark n Wenyu signed up for this club and they were giving out free HOTDOGS!!! Although i didnt sign up, i got myself a free hotdog too, cheapo ya lol. Chatted with the people in the club so as not to look like a freeloader. They were really funny and interesting people haha. After that as the weather was getting worse, we decided to head back to our own accomodation. And that's it for the day. Was really glad to get to know ppl from the same country and doing the same course. Hope to meet more people tomorrow, having a faculty talk tomorrow you see so i will update u guys again tomorrow, till then take care, good night!

Hi world, as the title suggests, these few days had been really boring. Nothing much to update about and no photos taken. Just hoping for school to start soon so i can make new friends. Was stuck in my rm for days, nobody to go out with, what a loser right lol. Anyway, orientation starts on Mon, 18th Feb, its gonna be a busy wk for me. The Day I Reach Brisbane...

Ate Macdonalds for lunch, oh yeah, forgot to state that we touched down at 9.25am and reached our motel by 10am. Anyway, mac was the cheapest arnd, aud5.75 for a fillet-o-fish meal. The other stalls are selling aud6.00 for a plate of fried rice la, w/o drinks. Was freaked out by the price of food there. After lunch, walked arnd in Toowong Village, saw shops selling fruits, it was damn cheap, will be eating lotsa fruits in Aus, as a sub for veg =). Then we went into Coles supermarket to get things to eat for breakfast and snacks. Fruits and veg are sold in kgs and relatively cheaper than Sg. However, things like Maggi mee, pasta, sauces and esp asian stuff were very expensive. I will really have to plan my meals well to save money.

After grocery shopping, we headed back to the motel. I needed to make some calls to arrange appointments to view my accomodation. 3 of us shared a pizza we bought in coles and that was our dinner. Bathed and rest a while before going out for a night walk. The weather was TERRIFIC! It was cool with occasional breeze, we walked all the way to my Uni and i didnt perspire at all. Got to know some of the roads leading to my school and 'recce' some gd places to stay in which are near to my Uni. Took a few photos and that was it, we then headed back to the motel, spent around 3 hrs walking arnd.

The next few days was basically the same activities, asked my parents to walk around on their own while i was trying hard to find my accomodation. At the end of those 3 days, my feet are sore and blistered lol. Finally found my accomodation at the end of those 3 days. It was such a relief to find an accomodation, was getting pissed that i couldn't find 1.

My parents rented a car on Monday, 110208, initially wanted to drive up to Gold Coast but decided against that idea because of the unfamiliarity of the roads. So the car was used to ferry my stuff from the motel to my accomodation, and yes we checked out of the motel on Mon. After unpacking and arranging the rm, we drove into the city, abt 15 mins drive from my place. Parking was damn difficult to find and it was expensive at 3.20 per hr. Walked around the city for a while and they brought me back to my accomodation while they checked into a hotel in the city. So this is it, spent monday night alone in my rm. This marks the start of my new life!

The Day I Fly...

Okay, time to update my blog, was not able to get a good internet connection thus was internet-less for a week.

First of all, thanks to all those who came down to bid me farewell despite constant refusal to let you all know the time. I'm really touched by your actions, you guys won't be forgotten, missing you all already while typing this entry out.

Really sad to leave my brother. Because of me, he will be alone during the CNY period (though he will be enjoying himself). But still sorry that he has to do all the visiting alone. Miss him lots.

After walking pass the immigration officers, my parents and I proceeded to gate A5 to board the plane. To our surprise the gate was not open yet although it was already 11.20pm. Smelling something fishy, we decided to ask a security officer on duty, and she told us that our plane is at gate A20!! Wth, we didn't hear any annoucements on the PA system. We were told we could get there by the sky train, so we headed to the sky train station. Then a sky train approached and the bloody personnel (who was on the phone and didnt even ask where we were heading to), directed us to board that train. We did so n to our horror we were in the wrong place. Damn pissed off. Then a Changi Airport guide brought us to the right place. The gate should have closed 10 mins before flight time, we are lucky they didn't due to the cok ups. Anyway we reached the gate at 11.45pm, our flight time, and the idiotic security personnel initially wanted us to go back to A5 as stated in our boarding pass, like wth -.-!!. What luck, nearly missed my flight, that totally spoilt my mood. On the plane, after settling down, I got really tired and slept through the whole journey. LOL, economy class really sucks =x. It was so bloody cramped that i woke up several times to adjust myself.

Woke up 1 hr be4 touched down, just in time to get myself warmed up. My camera wasn't with me so I didn't take any pictures while in the air =X. Was also too lazy to take photos in the airport cause my hands are full. After clearing customs, we met up with our airport reception guy (free service by UQ). He then drove us to our motel, Benson Court Motel. It's a very nice place and close to my Uni. Rested in the motel for an hour before heading out to explore. First thing i did was to set up my bank account, and deposited cash into it, not safe carrying so much around. I'm amazed at the no. of china chinese arnd, thought i wouldn't have to deal with them here, damn. No offence to any china chinese reading this =x. Okay im getting kinda lazy to type so much things lol, but i shall cont. in the next post just for my fans out there wahahhah.

And last but not least my house pet.

So this is it, my last night at home. After tonight I'm going to be 7hrs away from my home. I will definitely miss my family and the house that I've lived in almost all my life. It's going to be a whole new experience for me, cooking, washing, doing almost everything on my own. But I'm glad i have the opportunity to do what i like, though its going to cost a bomb. Here i would like to say im really grateful for the support my friends and family have given me, LOL sounds like im leaving for good. but 5 yrs is a damn long time. Anyway, i will be back almost every yr (if i have the money to come back every yr), i know you guys will still miss me. =)

This is probably the last post to be made in Singapore, so Australia here i come.

Was looking through some old photos when i come across his album, still never fails to tug at my heart-strings. It has been 3 yrs since he passed away, scenes of his motionless body lying on the table are still deeply etched in my memory. He was my best companion back in my jc days, i still miss him. Goodbye my friend.
